Landline fault

Our landline has been completely dead for a few days now (my mum originally said not to report it, as the lack of cold calls was a nice change, but she's 96, so I'd rather it was on).  I've checked each handset individually and they're fine.  When I ring Virgin I just get a computerized 'check' which never gives a result, just cuts me off.  I can't find any way to report the fault.

Like I said, I've checked the phones.  They're plugged directly into the wall and completely dead.

  • Well, still no landline - and no-one has been in touch about it either.

  • I can't seem to find a way to make a new post. I am desperate for help with my landline which has been dead for four days now. I have no other phone, no smartphone and no mobile and rely heavily on my landline. I sat in a neighbours house yesterday and was on the phone for over an hour, eventually they put me through to the back up team who told me there was a fault in my area and it would be working in 4-6hrs but 12hrs later it is still dead. My neighbour is out today so I went to a phonebox to call but when I call 150 I get BT. When I try and get help online the only solution I can see is to call you - but I don't have a working phone. I am pretty desperate to get it fixed, I am a carer and I cannot ring an ambulance if needed, I use online security and my bank cannot call me when I make an order so we have no food shopping this week and I cannot ring my mother who is in her 80's and alone every night to check she is OK. I desperately need my landline fixed. Please can someone help me. Thank you, Mike

      Hello footstomper

We're sorry to hear of the landline issues experienced and the problems getting this looked into by the team. We appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums.

What issues are you experiencing with your landline? Does it operate via a wall socket or vi the back of the Hub? Do you get a dial tone? Do you have an alternate handset you can try?
