Landline dead...again!

I can't remember the last time my home phone actually worked with Virgin Media.

It goes from having "3 beeps, then nothing" to the landline having no dial tone at all, to randomly working for a few hours. I've literally given up trying to get it sorted as this has been occurring for a number of years now.

If anyone is out there who actually knows of a remedy, please let me know. I've tried all of the standard "fix methods" in the past, so looking for anyone who actually knows what they are doing.

    It's a wall socket. Have tested several phones, same result. It's a BT4600 Twin phone, if that helps?

    Thanks for posting and sorry to hear you're having some issues with the phoneline. 

    Is it connected via the wall socket or the hub? If the hub, have you rebooted it?

    Have you tested a different handset?
