Landline completely dead

Hi - my landline is completely dead and I don't know for how long it has been that way. There is no dial tone, and when anyone tries to call me the call, it is sounding engaged all the time.

I have run the status checker, and it shows there are no problems with the land line but there are TV & broadband issues. 

Any ideas?

    The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post. This board is not a fault reporting system.

      I did call the 0345 number but why round and round answering the same questions. The ai doesn't work for me.

        And I spent over 30 minutes waiting so have up. How many other folk give up I wonder.

    Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, it has been a while, hope you have kept well, I am sorry to hear your landline is dead with no dial tone, are you connected to the phone via the old wall socket or the Hub?

    The phone is plugged into an old style wall socket.

    I've tried reporting it on the 0345 number but in my opinion, the AI system isn't very useful and I was going round in circles.
