Home phone stopped ringing

My home phone stopped ringing a few days ago.  The caller can hear it ringing and I can see their number displayed on my handset, and can even answer it (if I do it within the first to rings), but it does not ring.

I don't know if this is due to the digital switch over as I have never been informed.

my phone base station is plugged into a wall socket in the hallway and not the router which is in another room.

Is this something to do with the digital switch over?

How do I fix?

    Sorry to hear of the landline issues experienced, thanks for raising it via the forums and welcome to the community.

     

    We can understand the confusion regarding the issues, we have postponed a lot of the switchovers to the landline working via the Hub. We're you given a date for the switchover to take place?

     

    Do you get a dial tone via the phone or have the option to try a different handset/base unit in the wall socket?

      I have not been given a date for the switchover, but don't know if its been switched without me knowing.  The problem started last Thursday morning. Can you check if my post code has been switched?

      I get I dial tone and can make outgoing calls. Its just the incoming calls that don't ring the base station nor any of the 3 cordless handsets attached to it.  I can test ring both the base station and headsets from the settings menu and all ring ok. Silent mode etc is switched off and nothing has changed for years.

      The phones all work ok but just don't ring on incoming calls.

        It may be due to power levels with them being strong enough to deliver the call but not activate the ringer. These would be the levels between the cabinet and the property and would require a tech to check.
