Home phone not working since voip switch,

Hi,

We recently found out that our homephone has not worked since the copper switch.

It is connected to the hub5 as directed but when you call the number it gives a unable to connect message and dialing any number from the phone gives an engaged tone. I thought it was possible the phones at fault (they're quite old bt cordless ) so bought new hub router compatible ones but still no joy.

Is there anything else I can do before I negotiate the nightmare that is the VM call centre!!

Thanks

Simeon

  • Thanks for reaching out to us simeong, and a very warm welcome to our Community Forums!

Sorry to hear of the issues you've been experiencing with the landline services since to switch from the copper lines to VOIP.

Can you please confirm if you have a dial tone on the handsets?

Have you been able to perform any reboots or potentially resets on the hub to see if this helps resolve this matter?

    Thanks,

    David_Bn

      Hi David,

I so have a dial tone and I have tried resetting the hub with no joy.

I turned it off this morning when I left for work and will switch it back on when I'm back home in the hope that an extended downtime may assist but I'm not hopeful

Hi simeong, thank you for your response.

If you're still no further forward after switching it back on later, please let us know and we can look into it for you.

        Regards,
        Daniel
