Home Phone Issue

A while back, 6-8 weeks maybe I got sent a voip adapter through the post with instructions stating not to plug it in before a certain date of which I will be notified nearer the time and will also get a reminder before the switchover.

 Last week I phoned home to let the Mrs know what time a tradesman would be calling and left a message to that effect.

When I got home from work I asked her if she got the message ok and said no and the phone hasn't rung all day.  It turns out there is no dial tone at my home phone and I do not know how long it has not been working for.

So much for the letter and reminders of the switchover date, I am not impressed....

    Is there no dial tone on both the telephone wall socket and via the TEL1 connection from the back of the hub using the adapter?

    If you log in to the hub what does it show for Telephony on the Welcome page of the hub?

    Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community. Apologies for any Landline issues and confusion over the migration date. 

    If you follow Goslow's advice (thank you as always) and plug it into the Telephone Port One, on the Router, does the Phone now work?
