dead landline

have no dial tone when phone is picked up. when i phone the number it rings but not at the house end.

    Let me know if there are any problems with the date or time and I can look to reschedule this for you. 

    Please ensure there is someone over the age of 18 present at the time of the visit. If you need to change or cancel your appointment you can also do this online or via the MyVM app by 4pm the day before the appointment.

    If you do miss an agreed appointment for any reason, a ยฃ25 missed appointment charge will be applied to your account on the day of the appointment.

  • should add ive tried contacting virgin via live chat but they dont deal with land line issues.

    Could be you have been switched to the new digital network.

    May need to connect phone to your router in future.

    Hopefully someone with technical knowledge can assist you.

      problem solved now. the issue was that when i had a broadband cable replaced last week they cut the phone line and left the job and didnt tell anyone. so new engineer connected me to the digital network and we're all good.  i wondered why i hadnt had any nuisance calls for the last week
