Charge for call not made

Hi - There seems to be quite a lot of people with similar queries... I've just noticed on my latest bill that I've been charged for a call outside of my Talk plan I know I haven't made. It's just 1 call, no phone number listed, for exactly 1 minute costing 40p + 8p VAT. As I don't know what this is or how it could have occurred and I fear it will keep appearing unless I find out the root cause of it! Has anyone got any advice on how this has happened? Has my phone line been compromised in some way?

  • Thanks for reaching out to us NadineL, and welcome back to our Community Forums!

Sorry to hear of the unidentified phone call being made from your landline services.

If you're still on the existing copper phone line, it is possible for an error in the cabinet that creates a crossed line, if however you're on our router based phone line, this should not be possible.

Have you potentially discussed the use of the landline with any other members in your household that may have access to the landline phone at all?

    Thanks,

Does the charge show a date and time of day?

If it is a phantom call charge, these often appear during the night/early hours when the customer would not have been likely to be up and about.
