Caller Display / Caller ID not working?

Hi folks, can someone please help me with the following?

I have the Virgin Media Mega Volt bundle which includes Home Phone through our Hub Router, It's worked perfectly and I've some cordless digital home phones connected to it, each caller name stored on these always showed up when someone called.

However I've just recently bought some new Panasonic Cordless phones Model KX TGU433EB and tried installing them today, however when I try calling the home phones from my mobile, the Caller ID does not work, it just states "Incoming Call", I've checked and the phones are Caller ID compatible.

I've tried adjusting the phone settings but when I select "Caller ID" from the menu, it just states "You must first subscribe to Caller ID".

I'm not sure what to do here as I need the Caller ID Caller Display to work, and as I say it worked perfectly on the previous older phones.

Can anyone help? Is this a problem with my line, or a problem because my landline runs through my Hub router and not into a actual landline socket which Virgin never provided?

      Hi Lee

      I'm going to answer my own question here, it appears my mobile has Caller ID set as private on it, meaning this prevents the number showing up on my home phone, I've tried another family member's phone and it works perfectly, I've also adjusted my mobile settings and it worked.

      Thanks anyway for the offer of help, I'll leave this here incase anyone with a similar issue needs help.

  • I have exactly the same issue just bought a new Panasonic phone and caller id isn’t working on it yet with my previous BT phone it did so I don’t understand why when the Panasonic has the feature on the phone , I have spent so much time today trying to get to work and had to give up in the end.
