Unable to access sky sports on iphone

For several weeks I have tried to log in to watch live sports on my iphone and ipad. I am able to get to the login stage inputting my user name and password, then I get the message "apologies we cannot load these pages at the moment - try again". I have tried again several times and cannot get access. 

Has anyone had the same issues and found a solution? Trying to contact VM for support is impossible. I am still waiting for a Whatsapp response after several hours!

    Welcome to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your Sky Sports login. 

    Have you created a new Virgin Media O2 ID? You will need to do this before being able to login to Sky Sports.

  • When I try to login, I seem to get all of the way through login and then I get the message  “Apologies we cannot load that page at the moment - please try again”

    I have tried again several times and it is not working. I am getting to the point where I am going to give up and switch providers.

      Thank you for that information. We can certainly apprecaite your frustration with this issue. 

      To confirm, is this happening on both the app and web browser version?

      Have you tried this on both a Mobile data and WiFi connection?

  • I have tried on the App and the webrowser (using the iPhone) and neither works.

    I have also tried to access via the App with both mobile data and on WiFi. Neither works.

      Thanks for coming back to us, kbarrett59. Please can you try to remove the app and re-add it, or if you'd like to attempt to log in via your browser, please clear your cache and try again?

      Is this also just happening on one device or multiple?

        I have tried deleting and reloading the App. And COA. Confirm that this is happening on multiple devices (iPhone and iPad). 

        it seems that this is a problem since the switch to the 02 ID switch, is that a possible cause?

         

  • I have just wasted another hour of my life with the technical team, who have just informed me they need to refer me to IT, which will take another 3 to 5 days!!

      Thanks for coming back to the thread. Sorry to hear we couldn't fix it whilst you were on the phone. The team would have ran a diagnostic check, the end result of that would be that we needed to raise the IT ticket. The team would then be in touch with you with an update/fix asap.
