SkySports App not working

I've been with VM for years, always had Sky Sports HD and TNT.... Renegotiated my contract yesterday (same package including Sky Sports and Cinema HD and TNT sports), NOthing changed......

 

11pm last night my access to Skysports streaming stopped working and hasnt come back on since - I can still watch on the TV box, but if I try the Sky Sports app on my Iphone, Samsung Tablets or web browser on my laptop I get this..........

No matter how many times I log out and back in its still does not work..... I was hoping it would fix itself overnight as perhaps my account was updating following the extending of my contract, but still nothing.....

 

Can anyone help as my sole plan was watching the Ryder Cup this weekend and I'm now unable to so I'm pretty **bleep**ed off...

    No problems here on my Samsung tablet, android phones, or web browser on my PC. 

    Have you tried signing in with your VMO2 ID?  Or rebooting your hub?

      Yeh I've tried deleting apps, logging out and in, rebooted the hub.... Nothing...

      I've never had issues, they processed the contract extension yesterday' afternoon and 11pm it just stopped working...

      It still works on the TV box, so someone somewhere knows that I do pay for sky sports- for some reason that bit of information seems to be getting lost somewhere along the way when I try to stream..

  • Hi,

    I'm having exactly the same problem, renewed my contract on Thursday and now i cant get into Sky Sports on any device. I've spent hours on the phone to Virgin and i'm not getting anywhere. 

    Have you managed to resolve the issue?

        Hi Mathew,

        No nobody has been able to help. I called on Sunday and was told I would get a call back within 24 hours by the technical team, the call didn't come so I called back again to be told the ticket had been closed without anyone calling me or a solution found. I advised this wasn't acceptable as I need this fixing. I was then told a compliant had been raised and another ticket raised and this time someone would definitely call me within 3 days. So far I haven't heard anything and it will be 72 hours since that call in a couple of hours. 

        I've done everything asked of me, changed passwords etc and nothing has worked. The lady I spoke to on Monday said they are aware on this issue as its effecting some customers when they renew contracts due to the new virgin/o2 systems. This totally contradicted what I was originally told on Sunday as the lady said it couldn't be anything to do with the new contract.

        Could you please chase this up as I've spent 2 hours on the phone and still haven't had a call.

    Same problem here, can log into Sky Sports but not see any live channels. Tells me to get Sky Sports...

  • I've just left a post in another similar thread.

    I'm having similar problems. I use a Chromebook laptop to watch VM TV, especially sport on Sky Sports. I've followed the usual link, signed in via VM log in link but get this 

     I've done everything you'd expect.....cleared cache, history, refreshed browser etc.

    Incidentally, it still works on my Google pixel phone.

    If I go into the section for registered Sky devices in VM there is nothing listed.....odd.
