Sky Sports app prevents login

Hi, Please could someone at Virgin call Sky and shout VERY loudly down the phone (I find that a ref's whistle often grabs attention).

I have been trying to log in via the sky website. I was offered the "login with a Virgin Media account" once, and subsequently just directed to a Sky login page (attached). I tried to get some support from Sky, but all that their chatbot does is try to sell me what I'm already paying for.

I have made no changes to the device that I'm trying to use to view, so guess that the issue must be with Sky (When you go after the T&Cs info it directs to an unreachable page).

As I say, I'm pretty sure that this is an issue at Sky's end, but since I'm paying my money to Virgin (which has just increased) , perhaps they can go in and get it sorted.

Interested to learn whether I'm alone in this....

  • When on the sky sports login page, log in via virgin and sign in with your virgin credentials

      Thanks, as I say, I was offered that option on the first attempt (out of a dozen or so), and that redirected me to the page that I attached.

      I cleared the browser cache and restarted the machine, but can only get to the broken page attached......

        We're sorry to hear you're having an issue with logging in to Sky Sports. The page you're being directed too is for Sky Customers. As you're a Virgin Media customer, this won't work.

        To get things completely reset, can you try the following please?

        • Please delete the Sky Sports app from your device
        • Once it's been uninstalled, please turn your device off completely
        • Leave it off for a few minutes before powering back on. 
        • Ensure the OS on the device is completely up to date
        • Re-install the Sky Sports app

        You should get an option to log in as a Virgin Media customer. If you don't, please screenshot and post this here before clicking on anything 😊
