Recording error on the app

When I’m on the app and try to record a show I get the error “your virgin tv box is offline” but it’s not offline. Any ideas on how to fix this? 

  • I had the same issue on all my devices. The following has fixed my issue. In the app click on your profile (top left) click settings. Click account and profiles. At the very bottom is ’your account’ click ‘sign out’ then sign back in again. 

  • Are you using the app at home when the box is on or in standby or somewhere else.

    It's always best to have the box set to fast start or active start if it's in standby mode. Even at home with the box on and I try to set a recording using the app it sometimes gives a message, depends on if I have just opened the app and try to set a recording, sometimes seems to take a little time to connect to the 360. Good way of checking the app connection is to see if you can play a recording on the device you are using.

     

  • I have exactly the same issue. Mine is a brand new box. Previous box used to work but the drive failed so had to replace. Tried resetting everything but no luck.
