More App Problems

I can't set a program to record through the app. Whenever I try, I get a message saying, "Your Virgin Box is offline. We'll schedule this series to record when it comes back online." The box is clearly online as I'm sitting right in front of it. Sometimes, I also get a message saying, "Recording Failed."



 

 

 

Also If I want to watch a program on the app, i have to register the device. This happens ever time.
I am using version 5.18.11612+18728

    Recording requests go through a server system on 360, so the server needs to communicate with the box as well as with the app. Make sure the box is set to "fast start" or "active start" in the Standby Power Consumption settings, or the server will have to wait until the box comes out of standby to make the changes.

    With the devices, make sure MAC randomisation is turned off in it's settings, or the system will just keep seeing the device as different from the last time it was used.

    I agree with nodrogd,  even though the box is very rarely off  you need to make sure that the box is set to "fast start" or "active start" in the Standby Power Consumption settings.

    It looks like you are running the android version of TVGo.   You should update the app as the latest version is 519.11909+1950

      To start with I'm using IOS 18.5 on iPhone 16. App version 5.18.11612 which is the latest version for IOS.
      The box is on Fast Start.

      And it's still the same.

        Thanks for coming back to uis chrispy1. Are you getting this message for every program that you attempt to setup a recording for?

  • I have uninstall and reinstalled a number of time and has made no difference.
    I had another problem the other day. A program was set to record and did start to record then stopped after a couple of minutes.
    I had my 360 box replace 6 months ago and seem to be having more problems with this new one than I did with the old one.
