Can’t get into the TV Go app

I am trying to log into the TV Go app using my usual details. It then asks me for a back up contact email to secure the account. I entered an alternative email address and it takes me back to the app and it wants me to change my password. Why?

    Hi SandraH334,

    Thank you for your post and welcome to the community. 

    We have recently updated our online account security and so do request a new 3rd party email address as a back up. 

    The updating of the password would be an addtional security measure.
