Unusable At Night

I have an issue with my connection which i have been monitoring for the last week with the Think Broadband Quality Monitor.

As you can see, that just before 10pm every single night until after 2am, i cannot play any online games, let alone watch Netflix, Disney or Amazon as it just constantly buffers.

There is obviously someone or something that is causing this traffic at that time and it is rendering my connection useless.

I have done the usual checks (Network Engineeer) so i know it is not a cabling issue or even a router issue at my end and i have nothing set to check at these times.

I do not have any Malware, Virus, or even Trojan etc on my pc as i know what traffic is coming in and going out.

And i have attached the router (Hub 5) logs for you to see.

I would like someone from Virgin Media to take a look at this issue as i can only do so much, and please do not say we have checked and there is no issue as there clearly 100% is an issue on the network at this time, and if this cannot be resolved, then i would like to terminate my contract.

      The BQM suggests contention at busy times. And the poor signal/noise on the lowest frequency channels suggests a cable problem.

      Two reasons to get a technician in to investigate. But only the second one is going to be fixable.

    Looking at the amount of PostRS errors, I'm surprised you get any service at all.  PostRS errors should be zero, or close to, on a good circuit.  That's a lot of noise ingress going on.

    You will need a tech to sort that out, as there is not much you can do except check all the connections are clean and tight.  Loose connections are one of the causes of noise ingress.
