Virgin Media cable laid across my property without permission
I returned home from a short break today to find that Avonline had laid a fibre cable under my garden, dug through my flower bed, under my garden wall and out to the virgin media service point on the verge. They've linked the cable up to a virgin media box, screwed to the exterior wall of my dining room. Luckily neightbours saw (and filmed) it happening so I at least know who the culprits are.
I should add that I'm not a Virgin Media customer and haven't ever ordered VM services in any form. I received no advance request for the cable to be installed on my property and have given no permissions for same. I was not even formally notified afterwards that the work had been carried out - not even a note through the door.
I assume it's been installed at the wrong adddress, but there doesn't seem to be a mechanism to access VM customer service without having a VM account. I've spent the last 7 hours, without success, trying to find a contact route.
Does anyone have any insight as to who I can contact? I want it gone!
Many thanks for reading this, and apologies if it's not posted in quite the right section but it was the closest I could find.
