Drilling into the property

Apologies if this is the wrong board but does anyone know if VM drill into the house from outside or out of the house from inside. 
This will be for a TV cable only in a upstairs bedroom.

    It’s up to the technician, but in my experience it’s usually in to out.

    Almost invariably inside to outside once the tech has the position for the wall socket marked out.
