Id like to have virgin broadband at my new property i recently moved into, its available in the area just not at my house as id need and engineer to come and lay a cable as the house is set just off the street.

How do you go about arranging this?

Is it in a private lane or non adopted land.  Are there any other houses beside you that have VM?  You may need a wayleave in place?  It may have been deemed to expensive to service one property?

There are lots of reasons the house has been overlooked for connection.  Hopefully VM can arrange a spotter to call and investigate.

You will need to attempt an order for broadband, and then VM will check if they can connect your house. If the installation would be too difficult or expensive they will reject the order.

  • yeah there is a small black box on the street maybe 15m from my house, a property up the street has had this work done as I can see the small channel they have created, although they weren't quite as far away.

VM are aware that id need an engineer I believe, I just don't know how you go about arranging a visit.

I have an order with BT fibre currently and I'm awaiting their engineers but they cant come until November 11th so I was just curious as to if and how quickly VM could get this done.

New installations for VM can be slow because they use third party installers who have been known to take weeks or months. Any date will only be an estimate. But as said nothing will happen until you place an order.

Hey danc19862504, thank you for reaching out and to confirm is there already services available on your street already?

You can find out here .

Or are you looking to get an engineer down to see if this can be possible?
