tried installation yesterday, green flashing light on hub 3, no internet

Just moved to a new house and had hub 3 delivered yesterday, did the quickstart installation. There was a white light to begin with but this then became a green flashing light and I have had no internet available. Have done all the troubleshooting steps but nothing has helped and it is still flashing green. Trying to call virgin media for help results in a robot asking for my password - but I have never set up a telephone password before as I am a new customer and as a result can't get through to anyone? Please help.

VM only send out the QuickStart pack if the premises previously had VM.

The previous occupiers may have removed or cut the cables.  There should be an external omnibox, often brown or gray, If there is then try tracing the cable/s from it to see if the wiring leads to your internal connection point without any breaks.

If it all seems to be connected then it might not have been activated yet.

If thats the case then call 0800 953 9500 which is the activation line and have the hub serial number (should be on a sticker on the base) along with your account number and area number which can be found on your bills and contract

If the wiring appears to be cut and doesn't connect to your internal connection point then again call the activation line but this time ask for a manned installation.

The lines are open  8:00am to 9:00pm  Monday to Friday, and 8:00am to 6:00pm Saturday and Sunday

When our VM Hub 3 has green flashing panel lights it means their is no VM signal.

Could be best to book an engineer to complete the new installation.
