Steady red light on my hub3

I have had a steady red light on my super hub 3 for about a month. Also the side seems quite warm. Also my internet drops out about 3-4 times a day, sometimes for a couple of minutes, sometimes 30 minutes. I reported it a 10 days ago and within 2 days and engineers were sent out. He said I was one of 4 reports in my street and it was due to pavement replacement works. All the time my app told me everything was fine with my service. As the red light is still there I will get back to customer service. Any hints/tips suggestions before I do.

    The red LED on a Hub 3 is the overheating warning.  If this is faulty, i.e. on when it should be off, then the Hub needs replaced as it's a risk.  If you wait here a day or two a VM Mod will pick this up and discuss with you directly.
