Setting Up Virgin Media Service

I have just joined VM with equipment due to arrive on 28 January 2025. I'm currently with Sky having previously been with VM 3 years ago. I assume I will be able to use my "old" VM connections for my TV and broadband, or has the technology changed since meaning they'll need modifications?

It would be helpful to me to have an advance copy of any written set-up guidance but I've been unable to find any?

Like before, my TV and  Broadband boxes will be in different rooms, quite some distance apart and connected with each other by wifi. My contract is for M500 broadband. Is it likely to offer better range than my previous 100mbps?

"Like before, my TV and  Broadband boxes will be in different rooms, quite some distance apart and connected with each other by wifi." TV box could also need coax connection, depends which one you have ordered. Broadband speed has nothing to do with WiFi range. It’s always best to connect devices using Ethernet cable if possible.

It's always advised on here not to cancel an existing broadband account until VM is installed and working. This is to avoid being left without broadband if the VM installation is delayed, which unfortunately happens too often.
