QuickStart kit was supposed to arrive on the 4th

When I sign into Virgin Media it says out for delivery on the 4th, there's no tracking number in my account, no emails or text from Yodel.

Yodel can't help either because I don't have a tracking number.

I've took time off work and waited in for 2 days nobody has knocked or left anything, I assume nothing is arriving today because I've had no notification from Virgin or Yodel yet.

If it arrives next week they'll have to leave it on the step because i'll be at work, or if it's retuned do I cancel the contract before the first 14 days are up and go elsewhere because I have sockets for both Virgin Media and BT already installed.

  • Quite a few people are in the same situation, me included. Looks like Yodel has messed up and hasn't been able to cope with the demand and virgin isn't informing customers about the real situation. Keep chasing customer service, some people have been able to book engineer installation but with weekend coming up it might be well into next week by which time the delivery situation will have improved as virgin can't afford to keep it like that as they have to pay compensation for each day's delay.

    On our wavelength

I have been waiting since Tuesday on my package.

I Contacted Virgin about it and they said it would be another 48hrs before it arrived.

Nothing arrived so I contacted them again today and they said it would be another 48hrs.

I cancelled the contract there and then.

I contacted my previous internet provider and asked to be reconnected again.

    Already done.

While speaking to Martin at Aquiss he said he has had quite a few people phoning back to see if they can be reconnected as they have not received their packages as well.

They are getting told of delays between 48hrs or even 5 to 7 days until they will get their packages.

According to Martin ,, the warehouse that stores the self connect packages was flooded, damaging their contents.

So for once it is not Yodel's fault as they are getting no packages to deliver as Virgin has no stock to send out.

So you can be expected to be fobbed off on delivery dates.

Good luck with getting connected anytime soon.

We're sorry to hear there has been some delays to receiving your equipment. As a result of an ongoing warehouse site issue, which began Sunday 1st December, all orders placed from the evening of Friday 29 November onwards have been delayed and will not be delivered as planned.

Customers will receive a text message to let them know that there is a delay to their order, once the order is shipped, courier delivery information will be sent via text message as normal.
