New Router Has No Connection Point on Wall

Been trying to set up a brand new WiFi Router, but neither wall socket, nor plug from the NTL box seems to fit. The only cable that does, seems to have a copper wire in the space that I'd assume the 'Wall Cable' that came with the router would fit into. What are my options here? Am I overthinking this and it's as easy as plug the power in and find a way to attach either cable to the router? Any advice would be appreciated.

You need a coupler adapter to join two plugs together

Also available from the likes of Screwfix, Toolstation etc.

The threaded F-connector in the first Reddit photo looks like your VM connection (which is the short cable hanging out of the wall in the last photo).

Old connections use a threaded connector which you have to screw on. VM's new connectors are push fit. They may be a tight fit.

If you want a new wall box fitting with the proper connections, call the pre-installation and delivery team on 0800 052 1734 explain the problem and request a tech visit to install a new wall box.
