Newbie here. Services due to be installed at the end of Feb. We already have the brown box outside our front door. My question is how will the engineer route the cable to the back of our house as our living room is at the back. We currently have sky and their cable was routed down the side of our house on the outside and then in through the wall into the desired room. Will virgin take the same route. Don't want any more holes in the walls if it can be helped
Assuming there is reasonable access down the side of your house, there should not be a reason the VM cable can't go the same way as the Sky cable.
You should make sure you are present though when the VM tech visits and make your preferred route clear at the time. We have seen plenty of VM installations on here in the past which have simply taken the most easy and quickest route for the installer (without any consideration for how practical a particular cable location will be for the customer in the long term).
