New install due 13th sept.

Hello, recently signed upto VM , i have a technician visit booked for the 13th september 8am -1pm, however the property has never had VM before, there is no external omni box or internal coax socket, i already know my connection will be HFC from the contract details so i doubt that will use existing infastructure from other conpanies like the telegraph pole in my street.

Anyway i raised with VM through live chat and i got a response telling my they will do external work and internal installation on the same day lol. Today im going to phone up and raise the issue again since i found out they use contractors so its highly unlikely they will turn up together to do both works

Have i already fallen into the bleak scripted installation trap a friend warned me about ? 🤣

Yes you have. If you read through this forum you will find many similar cases.

You may be fortunate and get connected on the date you were given, but it could be delayed by days, weeks or months.

Do not cancel your existing service until the new one is installed and working. And keep full records, as you may be entitled to compensation for any delay.

  • Hello Abravenewworld,

Welcome to the Community, and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your installation. In some areas and for certain types of installs, we are doing both the external and internal installations on the same day. Would you like us to look into your account to see if that is the case for your installation?

    Kind Regards,
