Hey i just bought virgin media breadband and i thought my socket will work. But it didn’t, i need an engineer to come and get me a virgin media wall socket is that possible please?

You can also check for a loose cable as not all properties have a socket. Look outside for a brown or grey VM box on the wall and trace the cable to the inside. Also try calling the pre-installs team on 0800 052 1734 8AM- 9PM Monday - Friday or 8AM-6PM Saturday and Sunday, and explain the problem
Is it a virgin coax connection socket on the wall ? If it is and it's not live then it might have been disconnected in the street cabinet. Just give Virgin a call and I would select the "leaving option" if you want to have a chance to speak to someone and ask for a manned installation, the other option is to wait for one of the forum team to respond which might be 2 to 3 days.
