Exposed wires

I have an unused virgin media box outside my house, which the cover is broken on, and the wires now exposed. Can this be removed or made safe?

If you are using a mobile/tablet and can't see those icons either scroll across the screen, change screen orientation, or switch the browser to desktop mode

We’re really sorry to hear about the exposed wires jg68. This is definitely something we’d like to get resolved as soon as possible to ensure everything is safe around your property.

To help us understand the situation a bit better, could you provide a little more detail? For example:

      • When you say “box,” is it an omni box (usually the small brown or grey box)?
      • Is the equipment attached to your property, or is it located on the pavement/sidewalk?
      • How long has the cover been broken and the wires exposed?

Once we have this information, we’ll be able to get the right team involved to remove it or make it safe.

Thank you for letting us know, we’ll get this sorted for you🙂

they are never keen to do anything if you are not a customer - wait for VM to get to the thread and see what they say

if you get nowhere then wirecutters to remove the wire is about your only option - perfectly safe to do
