Coaxial Cable in Office Room - Can I Move The Router Here?

Hi,

My router is currently installed in my downstairs dining room and I would like to move it into the office room where my PC is currently located.

There is a coaxial cable currently in the office room however I've tried plugging the router in and the light is staying white which I assume is no connection.

Is there anyway to have an engineer come out and try to set the router up from this room, is this easily possible?

Thanks for the help in advance!

will cost you £25 afaik - worth tracing the cable back from the office and seeing where it goes - may just have been disconnected from a splitter - if it has re make the connection and see what happens

Depends which hub you have. If a Hub3 is showing white then it is operating normally.
