VM02 Login Issue Solved by me!

when virgin and 02 forced me to create a VM02 ID the process crashed and left me unable to login to either, after around 3 weeks of me contacting Virgin, explaining the problem, being told it was escalated to an engineer only for the engineer to not bother to contact me, one time they rang me at 9am on a Bank Holiday (I am unreachable until 11am most mornings), after getting one of them to reproduce the issue (the second of them I got to reproduce the issue) my complaint was sent back to me and actually detailed my experience (instead of like previously where they fobbed me off saying an engineer tried to you but couldn't and now it's resolved; they never fixed it!). The returned complaint basically said, sorry, it's taking longer than we thought to fix the issue but our resolution is to give you access to your emails... Clearly an automated response, and I haven't used their email system for over 15 years! Talk about taking the proverbial!
I suspect that like many of you who are reading this post you've been through the same, anyhow I managed to fix it myself!
- Sign up with a different email, then give your account number etc and it will say the account is already registered to a different email address would you like to transfer it, say yes.
- It will send a verify email to your old email, login to that email account and verify the transfer.
- Now I can login to my virgin media account using my 'other email'.
- I did the same for O2; go to their website and repeat the process.
- At some point I will try to transfer it back to my original email address.
