Unable to link VM account to O2 ID account

Same issue with what a lot of people are experiencing... I'm a new customer. I followed the steps to link VM to O2 ID account but unable to do so. It says that the email address doesn't match but I've only been using one email address to set up my account. Please help.

    Welcome to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your online account at the moment. 

    Did you create a My Virgin Media account prior to the account system changeover? Please could you try the process via Incognito or private browsing mode within your browser?

      Hello Steven, I don't believe I had a VM account prior to this - I tried all my email addresses and none of them work. Tried Incognito, still doesn't work.

        Okay no problem thanks for confirming.

        What emails address are these belonging to for example Gmail, Outlook etc? 

        What errors are you getting?
