Unable to deactivate account

Like many others that have posted in these forums, I’m having a total nightmare trying to disconnect my VM account.

I did initiate One Touch Switch to Vodafone but as Open Reach had to dig up the driveway, I cancelled the switch. 

For personal reasons I have now moved out of the property so asked VM to terminate the account.

I have since been passed from pillar to post with no one seemingly able to close the account.

This has been going on since mid April and  all I get told is that either the account will get deactivated in the next few days, but never does, or that there is an IT issue preventing closure.

Any advice on what to do next would be much appreciated .

    Sorry to hear of your concerns that you're unable to terminate your account. 

    If this is with the IT team, since you mentioned it was confirmed as an IT issue, then the team will work to respond to this within 5 working days. We can see that you've recently been in touch with the team on our side, and that actions are already in place to investigate further. We recommend not raising multiple requests for the same fault, as this can cause confusion and further delays if multiple requests are made for the same issue.

      As expected I’ve had no contact from VM as promised within 5 business days. This is not the first time my issue has supposedly been raised to IT.

      Any advice on how to deactivate the account would be appreciated.
