I’ve sent my router back and it was tracked as being delivered on the 31st of October. But virgin are charging me as they say they have not received it

AFAIK when goods are received back at the VM depot, they are scanned in bulk, so your kit could well be sitting in a pile waiting to be scanned. You are not the only one to have received such emails, it is common.
If you wait here a day or two a VM Mod should pick this up and discuss with you.
