renewing contract and cancellation
My contract has expired few months ago and have been a long term customer for nearly 20 years. Unfortunately I have been made redundant so out of work.
Have called virgin today and had the usual pillar to post with the Indian call centre to renew my contract, the offer been no way near affordable, and even with removing TNT sports - the package been offered to new customers is around £33-£37 per month for new customers with the same TV package and faster broadband, yet my best offer was over £70 per month.
On top of this, the WIFI connection speed is well below requirements in at least 3 rooms of my house. I have twice requested WIFI PODS over the last month and heard nothing.
As a long standing customer and currently struggling financially, I just want to simply renew to a level a new customer appears to have the entitlement to - especially considering they get better broadband! It appears Virgin Media have no loyality to its customers and happily push you around a non-uk call center with those reading of a script, until you get fed up and ask to cancel. So I did just that, and to be honest that wasn't much better.
I feel very let down by a provider I have been using for nearly 20 years and thinking it is reasonable to not offer those out of contract nothing near their offer to new customers.
