Renewed contract and then Virgin disconnected me.

Hi,

I wonder if someone from Virgin can help me. 

On August 10th I started to renegotiate my contract as once out of contract (today) my bill would go from £78 per month to £220. 

I tried for a better deal on the phone, but all I was offered was higher prices than what I pay now. 

I was called everyday by Virgin for the next 2 weeks but no one would offer me a half decent deal.

On the 25th August I was emailed by Virgin offering me the same package that I currently have for £58 a month.

I followed the link and renewed for 24 months and had confirmation via another email.

Today my services were cancelled.

I called your ‘helpline’ to have my services reinstated, but they were a little unhelpful and said it could take upto 3 days.

Whenever I asked why this happened they just kept repeating I’d cancelled my contract, but could see I’d renewed.

I dont understand why cancelling my contract on August 10th trumps renewing my contract on August 25th. They were quick to point out my cooling off period had expired!

Me and my partner work from home and have to be signed into our works intranet to be able to work on sensitive cases. This has completely screwed us.

I’m not overly fussed about the TV etc, but I really need reconnecting to the internet as a matter of urgency.

Can anyone there just press a button and sort it out sooner please?
