Renewed contract - Netflix downgraded

I renewed my contract today (took 90 mins!) and was assured everything would stay the same but 10 mins after getting off the call I received an email from Netflix saying that my account has been downgraded to ad-supported Netflix. I'm not happy. Can anyone help me rectify this?

    This seems to be a very common complaint. A VM person may pick this up and offer to help. But bear in mind your 14 day cancellation period. You may have to use this to persuade VM to put it right.

    A contract renewal means a new contract and whatever terms exist at the time. Right now it's  Netflix Standard with Ads which was introduced in around October 2024.

      But the OP was assured everything would stay the same. 

      TThat's what they should be getting.
