Renewal pricing incompetent

Looking to find a new deal that is able to be cheaper than the auto renewal pricing on my contract..

However the sales team offer me a price for almost £90 a month, “reducing” by offers to being almost £20 a month.

really displeased at how useless the sales team are! Is there anyone that can have a sensible discussion over a renewal package?

first time I’ve truely lost faith in remaining with the services following such poor customer service

Sorry to hear you are unhappy with the deals offered by our team. We can assure you that our team aims to provide the best possible deals for your requirements. You can find alternative deals here or by calling 0345 454 1111. We have sent you a private message. Please keep an eye out for an envelope at the top right corner of your Forum page. Thanks,

  • Yeah, they do that. The first person you get connected to is clearly in some low-cost call centre, and they try to upsell you to a more expensive package. The depressing thing is that some customers obviously do fall for this, otherwise they wouldn't waste time trying it.

Tell that first person (repeatedly) that you want to give your 30 days' notice to terminate, and they will eventually put you through to a different person, who is empowered to give you a sensible offer. You may still have to say you want to give your 30 days' notice a few times before they do.

It's really sad that you have to do this and I wish the regulator could somehow make them be less scummy, but until that happens you'll have to play the game. Or, of course, just quit and go to another provider.
