Renegotiate a new contract

I am trying to contact a human being to negotiate a new contract (or maybe leave). Last time I did it via a WhatsApp conversation (perfect) but this did not work this time (using original chat number). Going the 150 route was a nightmare and I gave up. Be awful to leave Virgin media because I could not chat to anyone either on the phone or via WhatsApp

Put your cancellation in, you'll suddenly find them very communicative....

Sorry but 150 from VM landline or 0345 454 1111 is the BEST route and use the LEAVING VIRGIN option rather than customer service. After 8am is best. Know what the competition is offering and be polite as you don't have a right to any discount, the same as they don't have any right to custom outside of a contract. Be realistic on what is on offer not fantasy cheap as chips pricing that competitors don't even offer.

Which number did you use for whatsapp? VM changed the whatsapp chat number last year and the new number is 0780 3089 684

When calling select options 1,4 and 4 which will put you through to retentions (thinking of leaving) They have better offers than the front line agents.  Although you might speak to a first line agent to begin with tell them you are wanting to speak to cancellations and they should then pass you through to the actual retentions agent.

Have you tried signing into https://www.virginmedia.com/my-virgin-media/  and clicking on "Upgrade package"? This may show you online offers currently available to yourself, or a link to a chat box to discuss a new package/contract.

You could also try the live messenger chat via  https://www.virginmedia.com/help/leaving

Or you can contact VM on Social Media by either messaging

    Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/virginmedia  or Twitter: https://twitter.com/virginmedia

  • Thanks for all your replies. I DID manage to have a chat online today with a real person. The good news is we agreed a new contract, the bad news was that the chatroom closed unexpectedly as he asked me to confirm the new dealšŸ˜

      Hello chrisjames.

Thanks for the update regarding your new contract, sorry to hear you got so far and the chat closed.

I can have a look from here to see if everything went through okay.

If you don't mind, Iā€™ll need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check the logo top right of your screen that would be great.
      Regards
