reference IDF-12B issue

Virgin Media account login worked ok. Mobile app seems ok until I go into settings. Have read the help and advice pages and get the 1DF-12B error (left it several days inbetween just in case). Broadband package with Volt SIM. No VPN and have logged in fine on this computer before. Trying the email recovery via surname, account and area gives the same error. Please help as the bot (Web messaging) is zero use and doesn't forward to an advisor.

  • Hi timepilot 👋.

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community Forums, sorry to hear of the issues that you are facing with logging into your account. Since this post have you left your account for 30 minutes at least and tried to attempt to log in. Can you also please ensure that there are no VPN's this does include the time difference of any VPN that has been used to be closed for at least 30 minutes prior to logging in.

Please let us know how you get on.

  • Thanks for responding - I'm not sure what have you left your account for 30 minutes means - i've tried logging in several times over the past week with the same error (it was fine before with Virgin Media ID and login). As per post no VPN is being used and i'm using trusted/used before devices - PC and mobiles. To clarify the forgot your email option fails with the same error. Would be great to get some input as don't really want to spend 2+ hrs on the phone to resolve

P.S please also pass on the posting issue where you get the following unless you cut and past the post into notepad !

Thank you for coming back to us timepilot

Are you able to advise on the steps you're taking when you log into your online account to get this error?
We've been unable to replicate this on our side when signing in and going into settings.

        Standard login

Enter email address (or do a forgot my email address - with surname, acc number, area code) - enter password there are only really 2 steps-  then get the error. This is either from virgin or via o2 - which end up in the same auth platform. Same for moble apps (virgin and o2).

I'm not going to post my email and details on open forum - but starts with steve@something.co.uk
