RECEIVING EMAILS RE: RENEWAL FIVE MONTHS BEFORE CONTRACT END

I cannot understand why I am receiving emails offering me an online exclusive renewal offers a full FIVE months before my contract ends.

The renewal offer is £10 extra per month than I am currently paying which would mean me paying an extra £50 over the next 5 months.  Why would I renew now and pay more per month?  Very confused by this tactic.

    Thank you for your post. We're very sorry you are getting renewal emails that early. 

    If those offers aren't someting you would be happy with then you can call in when your renewal time comes.
