Re contract price query

Hi all

My contract was due to end March 2025, I received an email from VM offering a new 18 month contract and to re contract early for an exclusive online price. 

 

I understood the offer as, I continue to pay my current price until the end of my original contract, then from March 2025 until April 2026 I pay the new price. This totals the 18 months (October 2024 - April 2026)

 

I agreed and received the new documents. The contract shows my 'new' monthly price, on one document I pay this from 'month 6' which I assume means April 2025. So far so good.

The body of the email then says I pay my new price from next month (Nov 24) with fees on top for making changes! Why would I agree to pay more when the contract doesn't end for another 5 months?

 

Can someone please confirm that I have understood this re contract offer correctly? I pay my current price until the end of my original contract, then the new price for the remainder of the 18 months?

I have attached screenshot of the outline of the offer in the email. I've tried contacting VM and just went around in circles.
