Contract renewal query

Hello

My contract is due for renewal at the end of April, when it will increase by quite a lot.

on my account there is an offer to renew the contract for another 18 months at a reduced price. If I renew today, will My new package increase this April by the RPI + 3.9%?

  • Hi Freddie111,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

It's great to hear you're looking at renewing your contract with us. When going through the upgrade process, before agreeing to anything, you will be sent pre-contract documents. This will outline when the April increase will affect you.

As it stands, any quotes we do already include the April 2025 price rise however the online offers may work a little differently.

As these are online exclusive, we're not able to view them to check so make sure you look over the pre-contract documents so you're fully aware of when the £3.50 increase takes place. It's also worth noting that when accepting an offer online, these orders go to a back office team who manually apply the deal. This can take up to 14 days to process and they'll send you an email confirming the change has been made.

Let us know if you need some support with anything 😊

    Many thanks,

I would suggest yes.  Anytime I’ve been with VM there has always been the yearly increases.

They will ask you to agree on the call, as you receive documents, saying that they only do that price on the day - However, I've had 8 prices from them within 1 week of trying to renew a contract.  £60, £61, £63, £64, £65, £66, £72 and £74.  It's 'Dynamic Pricing' is what they said!!!!  I called and spent 1hr 19mins to get a worse deal than was offered 2 days ago on Chat!!   For me, the price rose through the discussions, and of course, they pressure you as will only give a price in the call and you have to accept it there and then.  I signed up - but will cancel with the 14-day cooling-off period.

      Hi Sandejo99,

We're sorry to hear you feel this way and that you've decided to cancel the services with us. Our sales and promotions do change quite often so any prices quoted are only valid at the time. If you decide not to take the offer, you run the risk of it not being available again.

The team will always offer the best price available to you though. We always take on board the feedback given in the posts we receive so we can collect the information and use it to learn more about the areas we need to improve. We will certainly pass this information along to the relevant teams.

      Many thanks,

Hi Kath_P, thanks for your information.  I will make one last call on pricing (I was advised I can cancel within 14 days cooling off - in 7 days but also to call back and see if there is a better price this week??). If not, then I'm cancelling right at the end of 14 days.  However my wife can get a great deal at £360pa cheaper as a new customer from you, so it's a no brainer.
