New 18 month contract

Good day,

So had a call from VM today in regards to a new contract, because I’ve been with VM over 20 odd years and would’ve like to be upgraded for £3? Now this guy kept me on the phone for over 25 mins and spoke so fast I couldn’t keep up, I’m 77! lol anyway part of the talk was about I2 free sim, which I’m not really bothered about it but apparently I’ve signed up for it and had 2 emails with number and arrival date, I DO NOT WSNT IT!, question is can i cancel the SIM card without jeopardising the Virgin bit.  The contract is for quicker broadband and larger tv, I did hear him say about films and sports, my dd is 35 presently and they wish to increase it to 46 which I believe includes 6 per month for phone. Anybody please advise. Happy to keep Virgin part of contract but not sim. The new contract also includes new  360 box, is it similar to Vito box?, is it any good? Sorry for long post.  Regards.  Dave

  • Hi there fdj12 👋 Welcome to our forum and thanks for your post 😊

Sorry to see that this Sim has been arranged when you didn't want it. Usually if it's a Volt package a Sim would be included. I'll be happy to check and confirm the package details for you so I'll pop you a PM to confirm your details.

    Regards

    Nathan

Thanks Nathan.  I’m more than happy with my provider presently and have no need for a SIM card and it many only be £6 per month, I’m trying to keep all my costs down, being on fixed income.
I’m more than happy for the virgin upgrade, but if it means taking the O2 sim to qualify I will cancel.

    Regards.   Dave

    Knows their stuff

Opt out of marketing in your account Dave. Then you won't get pestered by these calls and 'upsold' stuff you dont need.  As with any cold calling on the phone, doorstep,  or in the street, it isn't being done for your benefit.  ( the 360 box is best avoided btw, it's a downgrade).

I think you have time to cancel any new contract if you're not happy with it.
