New 18-month contract but overcharged!

On 24th June 2025 I entered into an 18-month broadband & TV contract at £43.22 per month. I have since been billed £77.18 three times. I have been overcharged by £101.88 (3 times £33.96).How do I get this money back?

 How do I get some compensation? How do I get billed correctly?

I’ve tried the chat-bot (useless) tried 0345 454 1111 and got links to a bill breakdown or how to change direct debit date (no humans, no sense). Agreed to WhatsApp chat (no response).

  • Martin was unable to resolve the issue, but I managed (eventually) to connect to Moanungsang through web-chat via the 'Change My Package' page.

    Now resolved with a 24-month £41.00/month deal and a goodwill gesture of £26.53 credit on my account. 👍🏻

    Just to confirm, do you have a Contract Information Sheet quoting an initial monthly cost of £43.22?

  • I’m out of contract. I have been for a while.

    On 24th June 2025 I entered into a 18 month contract at £43.22 per month.
    On 24th June 2025 I also accepted a free upgrade to a new Virgin TV 360 box at no extra cost.

    Since that date I have received bills at the higher figure of £77.18. The new tariff of £43.22 has not been applied.

    It seems that whilst  webteam@virginmedia.com issued the new contract, this was ignored by vmteam@virginmedia.co.uk who handled the free upgrade to a new Virgin TV 360, but re-instated the previous tariff.

    I have been overcharged. How do I get a refund? How do I get some compensation? How do I get billed correctly?

        Did. Yesterday. Not resolved. Dug deeper. Found probable reason for foul-up.
