Hi I am trying to get the free Netflix that is available with my package bigger combo bundle but when I log into Netflix it asks to choose a plan and it says my account will be billed at £5.99

You need to check your contract to see if the free netflix offer was available with the now obsolete Bigger Combo bundle. As far as I can recall it was only available with the Biggest Combo bundle, Biggest Volt bundle, and Mega Volt bundle as show <here>
If free Netflix with ads is not listed as part of your current package then you would need to recontract to one of the new packages that include the free netflix with ads which are part of VM's bundles which were refreshed on October 2nd.

New and re-contracting customers can choose from five core TV packages which have been refreshed and renamed with simple, more descriptive titles to better support households in choosing a package that is right for them.
Netflix included standard: Applies to all Mega TV bundles (regardless of broadband speed) and broadband only packages that include M500 broadband or above as a primary offering. Customers who get a boosted broadband speed as a result of Volt e.g. M350 boosted to 500Mbps will not be eligible for Netflix Standard with Ads to be included within their bundle cost.
