Is it worth a engineer visit

Hi need some advice with what I should do next please

I recently had a  contract in my own name and details so I had to wait for all the new equipment to arrive It came  on the 23rd and I was unsure if I should of done it myself  or not but 

I have installed the  new equipment and disconnected old services as they stopped working on the 22nd of may anyway so I turned it all off and removed the old equipment 

I have had a message yesterday from  virgin saying my  my new services are now active to start using them.

And I am using the new equipment and new services but I have no working TV I do use other devices to watch things from off the virgin media go app 

Would It be worth keeping the engineer visit I have for the 26th  though to look at all the wiring and the set up in my home because there so many wires and I wondering if the engineer could get rid of the ones I don't need because I can't work out witch ones I do and don't need
