Inadvertently renewed my contract at a higher price than I was paying

Hi, can you help me? Inadvertently I have just renewed my contract at a higher price than what I should have been paying for the next 6 months. I misread an email that was sent to me. I know that was my error however shouldn’t this have been pointed out to me by Virgin at the time? Over the next six months I will be around £70 worse off.
