I was charged for out of contract price when I renewed!

So I had a 18 month contract that was coming to an end on 24th November. My contract price was £34 and out of contract proce was £70. On 21st November, 3 days before the contract was coming to an end I decided to renew it for another 18 months, I also got a black Friday deal which included first 3 months for free.     So I had a 18 month contract that was coming to an end on 24th November. My contract price was £34 and out of contract proce was £70. On 21st November, 3 days before the contract was coming to an end I decided to renew it for another 18 months, I also got a black Friday deal which included first 3 months for free. After I renewed my contract for another 18 months but I noticed that on 18th November, I had a bill for £70 in my virgin app, because I renewed already I assumed that this was just a mistake and I will not be charged but behold, I was. How would I go about receiving a refund for? As I renewed my contract before my current one ended so no reason for me to get charged the £70 out of contract price plus I got 3 months free with my new contract renewal so I shouldn't have been charged anything until February.

      Thanks for your post and welcome to our community.

      I'm sorry to hear you received a bill that was higher than expected. 

      We do charge in advance, so there may've been advance charges at the higher rate generated before the new deal was taken.

      This would automatically be amended once the new deal went live, and any refund owed would be on the next bill.
