How can I speak to a human in customer support?

I'm going round and round in circles with the online chat bot's and just want to speak to a human for what should be a really simple query

I'm planning to move house and want to see if virgin is available at the new house. There there 12 houses in the street but the postcode checker only shows the first 6 (virgin is available for those 6 houses) but I'm going to move to number 12.

I sent in a request to check it using the "my address is not listed" button and completing the form, I got no reply after over 2 weeks so tried the chatbot today.

The chatbot said it was transferring me to a person in the support team but from the answers they were giving I don't believe they are real and suspect it was another bot.

Firstly they said the address was a new build property and asked for information about the builders (it's well over 30 years since it was built). Then they said they would send someone to check within 7 days and process my disconnection immediately

I told them not to do anything and asked a few times if I could speak to a human and was eventually got a reply saying I was speaking to a person. If they really were a person they were clearly incapable of understanding the conversation.

I can't see any support numbers on the website, just the online Help/FAQ sections or a link to these forums.

Is there a number for customer support please?

  • 0800 052 1734 and option 0 worked and I got to speak to a human, sadly they couldn't help though.
