I missed a DD payment this month and my new bill is due on the 24th for £73.98 as I missed a payment. I have used QuickPay to contribute towards this however it says on the website that this won't reduce the DD - how do I do that and pay off this missed payment ASAP before the DD is taken? thanks

Sorry to hear of the issues experienced impacting your Direct Debit, we appreciate you raising this via the forums to make us aware.
If a Direct Debit is already in the process of being requested from your bank, any payments made to that balance won't be reflected in the request from the bank as it is already in motion. At this point, if the funds are available for the bill in full we'd advise to just let the Direct Debit go through, if not there is the Direct Debit indemnity option but this would lead to potentially two payments being due.
